Q: How long does it take to download the toolbar?

The toolbar is a relatively small 550kb file. It should download in 1-3 seconds on a fast connection, and 10-20 seconds over a dial-up connection.

Q: Does the toolbar contain any spyware or install other programs?

No, the toolbar does not install any spyware or other software.

Q: Can I use the toolbar on a shared computer (for example, at my school or at the library)

Because the toolbar stores your login username and password, it is recommended that you do not install the toolbar on a shared system. If you do so, it is recommended that you do not enable the auto-login feature.

Q: Can I use the toolbar with multiple sites?

Yes, if you have multiple sites, you can use the same toolbar to manage each of them. However, the toolbar can only be logged into one site at a time. To use the toolbar with another site, first logout of the toolbar, then login again with the new site's username and password.

Q: Can I change the order of the buttons on the toolbar?

Buttons are displayed from left to right in the order they are listed in the Show/Hide Buttons menu. You can change the order of the buttons on the toolbar by choosing to hide buttons that come before your desired button in priority, but it is not currently possible to re-arrange buttons.

The toolbar can only be installed on Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.0 or greater.

From your browser, click on "View > toolbars" and make sure that "My Site Toolbar" is selected.

Q: Why did the installation of the toolbar fail when using Windows NT or 2000?

If you are using Windows NT or Windows 2000, you need to check with your system administrator. Administrative privileges are required to install applications on these systems.

Q: Is it possible to change the location of the toolbar in Internet Explorer?

Yes. In your browser, make sure that "Lock the toolbars" on "View > toolbars" is not un-checked. You can then move the toolbar by dragging it to another location.

Yes. In your browser, go to View > Toolbar and make sure that "My Site Toolbar" does not have a check mark next to it.
